the disquiet of indecision
« on: July 13, 2012, 10:11 PM »

into the crisp air
thoughts transport on the stillness
a perfect moment.

If I was to travel through time
what's the bet I would either be
too early or too late
miss you entirely-
a few seconds either way

not that time travel exists
everyone knows it doesn't
but if I could
how would I maneuver time
to arrive in your present?

I thought about it
tried the imaginary scenario on for size
it wasn't a comfortable fit
too much hope for a perfect moment
unstable in the unpredictable
possibility of disappointment

best to leave the ether
in the careful hands of God.

Stepping into the unknown ..only fear holds you back

I really like the way you think

and write it down

I love your intro haiku!

Interesting thoughts. A second too early or late. You're right about that!

This is super!

Halo,

the ending "hands of God" I thought tied in good with the hands of a clock and the whole time travel analogy.

There is a lovely cadence and lilt to this poem. I enjoyed this very much.

Rg, thanks for the read and liking and leaving me a comment.

witt, Thank you, I wrote the Haiku a couple of days before, I didn't realize it had company coming.

Kay, I didn't even notice 'hands of God' and the relevance to a clock and time... thanks for pointing that out.

hey elise, Thank you so much, it's a buzz to know this had impact on you.

Anne, I'm so pleased you enjoyed this and thank you for the compliment.
