In Memoriam

Today we honor: Mystic1 -aka G or Gary

Mystic1 was one of The Alley’s most prolific poets. He delighted us with his creative Haiku renditions. He has left us now for that open mic in the sky. Although he suffered a long time with his illness, it never erased his enthusiasm for poetry or participating.

“Without any precaution and without a trace of apprehension,
you appeared in my world as you did, bringing me a pleasant surprise that I couldn’t resist.
But like this, without me knowing, you quietly disappeared from my world, without a word, leaving behind only my memories.

You exist, deep in my mind, in my dreams, in my heart, and in my song.
You exist, deep in my mind, in my dreams, in my heart, and in my song.

Still remember us once walking side by side together past that bustling alley.  Even though we were strangers, just passing by each other, we still felt each other.  One look, one beat of the heart, one unexpected delight. It’s like a dream that was destined.

You exist, deep in my mind, in my dreams, in my heart, and in my song.
The world is so big, why did we meet?
Could it have been chance?
Could it have been destiny?

You exist, deep in my mind, in my dreams, in my heart, and in my song.”
~Mystic1 aka G~

As you will always exist, deep in our minds and hearts Gary.

Why should I give a shit about this human being named Gary aka "G" aka "Mystic1".
I never met him, face to face anyways, I never broke bread with him, I never heard his laugh.

Regardless, I do give a shit and I am heartbroken. He was a good person.

I never really got to know him on a personal level, outside of the banter on this site.
Yet, that's what I am left with, that thought; he was a good person.

Not a bad perception/ legacy to leave behind.
Rest in peace

Words seemed to come so easy to Gary.  Thanks for the memoriam, elise ... well said.  The Alley will have a void without him ... as well as in the hearts of many.

I always assume everyone is infallible and fail to ring the bell
for them when alive to acknowledge my appreciation of how
they enriched my life by their sharing of creativity and
knowledge.

It is a long way to travel out there but Mystic has the light
to go every where.  If you listen closely the sound shall
bridge the gap and ring softly in remembrance.

My muse welcomes you as a sister elise.
Inspiration needs to be located like kindling
before the fire can erupt.  But believe me
it is always inside you just waiting to be
unlocked again.

I'd like to change this section a little bit.  It's difficult to find enough material (or the time to pull it together into a newsletter).  Let's use this section for news related to famous, or not so famous poets - writers of any genre.  Also, let's not forget our own here at the Alley.  Post and boast away, promote new publishings, anything newsworthy.  I'll rewrite the description as soon as I find the "time"
