Title: Haiku Pieces for Peace Tag
Post by: Kay on April 13, 2012, 12:26 PM
Haiku Pieces for Peace

would like to offer a haiku thread that takes
anger, frustration, strife, whatever is negative and toxic
and get rid of it through connecting once again on a more intimate
level with nature. man--and nature

in other words, beat up on the mountain instead
of each other

hope it resonates

the mountain is high
but I can move it past me
to where there is peace

funny you should start with a mountain haiku. I was just talking to
a friend about climbing mountains.

   climbing your mounTains
   choose your mountain to conquer
   see yourself on Top

see yourself on top
your cells cannot thrive in dark
open like a seed

   open like a seed
   red sugar watermelon
   juices drip down chin

   right after the rain
   birds sing dinner is ready
   rainbows bless the sky

   to see where peace is
stand in front of a mirror
   while closing your eyes

all faces look familiar
no reason to fight

no reason to fight;
the rain is wet, lightning's bright
and the whisky's old.
