Thanks, pal. I was experimenting to see if I could do a picture first instead of coming last. YAY! I did it.
Then I tried the glow in blue! YAY! I did that, too. Next I tried centering the text and did that, too!
That doily was a bit squashed in the scanner, but it is one of my designs that I liked and it was colorful, too.
Thanks for checking on me.

Oh, my dear, this is gorgeous!  I wish I had the patience for any sort of needlework.

Thanks, WF. That's one of the chapters in TatWitt. Patience! This one is a real challenge, but I enjoyed designing it.

This is really beautiful, and so detailed.  I will have to show it to my mother-in-law.

Hi Witt,

What beautiful work you do!  I bet it's a great feeling to finish something so detailed and beautiful..  I love the bookmark too!  I'm part Irish and Native American so I do love my Irish stuff..   :sunny

Great Job!  Hope you'll be adding more...   :rose

Thank you, LL. Now, if I could figure out how to mix the Irish with the Native American...

Funny story. I had a table full of tatted doilies and bookmarks. One lady came up to me and asked if I had a Carolina bookmark. I told her that I did and pointed to the end of the table where they were.
She said, "Oh, no. That would get me kicked out the house!"
I thought that maybe I had misunderstood her, so I asked her again what she was looking for. Again she told me a Carolina bookmark. A friend was listening and she picked it up to show her that indeed, I did have a Carolina bookmark.
"If I brought that into the house, I would get shot!" she replied.
My friend and I looked at each other questioningly. Was this woman nuts? Then it hit me. She meant the OTHER Carolina! The University of NORTH Carolina. I wasn't in South Carolina at the time!
I enjoy making these in school or team colors. I even made a Seahawks one this year. Of course, I prefer to make the Panthers!
