Meet WordFaery - Splash Magic Poet
« on: September 14, 2006, 01:10 PM »
My name is Marge Merrill, aka WordFaery.  I'm a life-long resident of western New York state and share a home with two humans and three dozen teddy bears.  I've worked in the long term care field for over 25 years, first as a care-giver and then in administrative positions.

I've been writing stories since I was 12 and after being turned off by poetry in high school, rediscovered verse in 1999.  I joined my first internet poetry group, SplashHall Poetry in 2002 and got hooked on free verse. In addition to having my performance poetry aired on BZoO HomeGrown Radio, I also help out in production . I might even fall victim to Rg's arm twisting and do my own show on BZoO soon.

In 2005 I completed my first spoken word www.CafePress.com/StripedSocks" target="new">CD "eclectic," a fun collection that includes a (true, I swear) short story about camping.  Current projects include "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," an audio book to be released in early October and "Playgrounds" another spoken word poetry collection which I hope to have ready around Thanksgiving.

Another labor of love under construction is my website www.wordfaery.com" target="new">www.wordfaery.com Click on over to SplashHall Poetry Forums and say hi to Marge. You can also visit Wordfaery at Rollin Thunder Poetry SplashHall's poetry blog.

I kick off my shoes and fling them far and high! I am smitten with the twinkle in WordFaery's eyes and by those saucy wings of hers.

A moment of enchantment.

Congratulations are in order for you Wordfaery.  You are one of my favorite poets on the boards.  You have a unique way of turning a phrase and letting the words speak volumes in a short sentence.  Good luck in all your endeavourers.  I'll be looking forward to your audio book in the near future.

Shakes Fey Dust from an olde beard and stares intently into the eyes of Perfection.
