Kay ~ SplashHall Poet
« on: August 10, 2006, 06:02 AM »
I'm Kay Vibbert (Kathleen) and I live in the Midwest with my family. I'm retired and my three children are grown. I enjoy narrative and nature poetry and have been writing poetry for about ten years.

I left a librarian position several years ago and since have struggled with a vision impairment but it doesn't keep me from writing. I'm very excited to be included in Muscadine Lines, A Southern Anthology that has just been released by Cold Tree Press.

I enjoy digital photography also and hope to travel more when my husband retires. You can visit my personal blog at http://kathleenvibbert.wordpress.com/.

Visit Kay and read her poetry at SplashHall Poetry forums. Tell her cafeRg sent you.

Well, howdy, Kay. Great to see your lovely face. My mother is also a librarian. Eighty-eight and still checking out books! You have a visual impairment, and she can't hear a thing the patrons say. You two should work together.
I have enjoyed getting to know you here on the boards. I hope you remain with us for a very long time!!

Hi Kay its great to meet you. I'll have to meandor the hall and look for your writings. What are some of your favorite things to photograph? I am visiting your web page write now its awesome. I love this stanza in the poem On Livingston.....

"Earth buries the light from oil of wintergreen,
while the high grasses spin cool,
raised up a notch before the frost.
Rain will rain again, but the pattern
dims."

And I absolutely love the poem "Spirits Along the Sea". I have added your blog to my favorites. Congratulations on being part of Muscadine Lines.  See you around Kay.

Huck, you made my evening. Thank you for the lovely reply and never put your writing down. I've written a fair share of really bad poetry (that's what shredders are for) '<img'>
Thank you again and I hope you keep writing too. I'm glad you enjoy my writing and hope I don't soon disappoint!

Kay,
It's wonderful to meet the woman behind the words.  Write on!

Ahhh Fall colors arent they captivating. They never seem to last long enough wich adds to their enchantment. The more I read your blog the more I liked it. I kept thinking oh this is my favorite, oh wait no this is. lol In each peice there seems to be lines or stanzas that just grap onto me and they all make the reader feel so good and at times blissful.
