Asylum (Rannaicheacht Ghairid)
« on: February 12, 2005, 11:53 PM »
Vows are made.
Released passion renegade
On deserted island sand.
Wind and water serenade.

Stars align
As we life and limb entwine.
Two alone in all the world,
Soul to soul our faith consign.

Lover’s ground,
Where our hearts with joy resound.
Kiss by kiss past pain erased.
In your eyes I’m lost, and found.

Hours fly.
Searching lips with passion cry,
Mounting till we find release.
Racing hearts our lullaby.

Asylum,
When life becomes burdensome,
Sorrow, hand in hand escape.
We our purest selves become.

A Rannaicheacht Ghairid is a Welsh form
sylable count 3/7/7/7  rhyme count a/a/b/a

One verse or as many as you chose
*turning on her heel, she disappears, like leaves before the wind*

This was great. You need to go down to the ASK A POET section and put it in there. Add a new topic where I have the Clerihew. Explain what type of poem it is and any other info that you have and put the poem there as an example. Maybe some folks would like to give it a try.
