GROUP POEMS
« on: September 21, 2019, 11:35 PM »
This thread will be used to create group poems.

* A group poem is as the name suggests - the group writes the poem -- a line or 2, or 3 at a time.
* There are times when it's difficult to write and adding a few lines is better than not writing at all.
* Group poems are also good for pulling us together as a group.
* You may get to know your fellow poets better.

Feel free to add conversation between posts.  I will periodically pull all of the lines together so you don't have to scroll back too far to make sense of it all.

The rules for this one will be simple - free verse, throw a rhyme in here and there if you feel it moves the poem forward.  We will write until the poem feels finished.  The only other rule is don't try to force the poem to go in a particular direction - just go with the flow.  You may be surprised at the outcome.  Each person who contributes will have their name added to the end of the poem.

Let's see what direction this one will take ……… will it be a tale of Halloween, or perhaps children playing … the next few lines will let us know … join in, come and play  :poet

The corridor seemed never ending
shadows just a step ahead
dancing along the walls like children

shadows just a step ahead
dancing along the walls like children
looking to play perhaps
or luring us into darker arenas
behind that door ahead
