One Hundred June's
« on: May 12, 2019, 01:47 PM »
Recently I have been writing a lot of poetry for audio I do on Karaoke, One needs to write a bit different
for that and add the appropriate music to match.  So I am posting some I have written and I wish you
could hear the audio.   Weave

One Hundred June's

Choose a lover that can wear love well and function
the same in winter, summer, and spring.  One that can
force birds to accept singing lessons and the sun to
beg for a shoe shine and the moon yelling for mop glo.

One that names home "forever" and not afraid to hold
you so tight you break. One that remembers every sigh
you breathe and every warm stacked hand held moment.
A lover that can laugh and smile for one hundred Junes.

Choose a lover that will not rust when you cry or become
a well that runs dry.  One that will not turn into paper
mache when you need a solid anchor for support. A lover
that can go the long distance and enjoy each and every mile.

Weave
a good poet is like a bride
Something old, something new, something borrowed
but mostly you.
