gripping my seven iron

there is a finger touching a heartbeat
a hand that says three
and grabs a weathered soccer ball
dressed in an american flag

waving back
at the sunset
off the bow
in the canal
venice
italy

we do the same in venice
california

a day before
the hat was red
that hat was red
and your hat was
ya
red

the V neck
was deep
stones sighed
in the shade
they cried

they felt left out

on the corner
she asked
if you could change one thing about the world
what would it be

that is easy

when i am sitting seaside
staring into the fog
blocking the sun
listening to the seals bark
gripping my seven iron

try not to take my picture

leave me
and my farmhouse dream
the upright oak tree
to smoke our own
pink 70
now was always better than then

Cy, it's so good to read you again.   Something must be wrong though, because I think I understand this one!    *hehe*
If its solitude you want, this is a good place to hang out lately.   wink*
Giving you a virtual hug.  Sometimes it's just good to see someone too!  Thanks for sharing.
