hasta ???? Oh that is super cute, elise.  :tongue

benevolent - persistent - insistent - intent - petulant - preeminent - redolent

the air is redolent of roses
persistent in the aftermath
of your insistent visitation
preeminent of a petulant
encounter the intent certainly
far from benevolent.

I'm not having any luck being serious and I'm finding that the most fun of all.
elise...whatcha got for us, huh?

rave - brave - cave - shave - knave - behave - grave - permanent wave

there was a silly knave
who occasionally was want to rave
he couldn't be bothered to shave
he must have been brave
because he didn't behave
went ahead and got a permanent wave
the situation grave
home is now a cave

Oh, I hope this last post of mine isn't politically incorrect in anyway? It certainly wasn't my intent.  *hug*

Ah, I'll change it, then there will be no question of it not being polite.

I love this thread!!!  Halo and elise - you are both really good at this!  Let's see if I can get my thinking cap on and join in

pink - blink - rink - sink - think - wink

Pink was always the choice for Stephanie, time vaporizing before my eyes, so I tried not to blink

Memories of her in pink
skating in circles at the rink
while I tried not to blink,
as she passed, I would wink

but my heart seemed to sink
though I tried not to think,
of my little girl in pink
gone if I blink.

P.S. I guess I blinked - she'll be 28 in a week!

fears

one of my greatest fears is losing you
as tears flow not sure what I would do

through mascara smears I see you there
It clears my head to realize you care

daisy, lovely theme on pink. Can totally relate to that.

elise, well penned, you got the touch. a lovely touch!

dreams - extremes - screams - seems - means - cream - streams - beams - schemes - seams - reams - gleam

A quarter after midnight
extremes of screams
howled out into the night
it seems the burglar
lost the means
to steal the
Wonder Cream formula
streams of moon beams
too bright causing all his schemes
to fall apart at the seams
so much for reams of
gleaming dreams.

peace - caprice - ease - release - seek - cease

a struggle for inner peace
is often a caprice of emotions
that lead to a lack of ease
with no immediate release
until the seeker calls an
internal ceasefire.

Sauce-boss-cross-floss-loss-moss-toss

“Drinking Again!”
“No Sir,” I slurred to my boss.
I so wanted to floss because
my mouth tasted like moss
Oh, man was he cross!
I didn’t want to get tossed,
but, this job was a loss!
Guess it’s time again
to lay off the sauce!

teehee, good thing I don't drink  :wine
