April 12Th

shadow dancing silhouettes
birds hopping from branch to branch
shaking the leaves
a sepia cartoon on my venetian blinds-
I caught the early show.

April 12

You sit with your back to me
The ocean raging behind me
Your sobbing saddens me
Your quaking shoulders distress me

Me, me, me, me
Why can't I comfort you?

April 13th

Gathering lotus from the wild luxuriance of spring,
Away in the depth of a waking dream I see a lovely girl.
With green leaves are the peach-trees burdened,
The breeze blows gently along the stream.
Willows shade the winding path, darting orioles collect in groups.
Eagerly I press forward as this reality grows upon me. . . .
Even in the warmth of dawn, no one calls me but the doves.

I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

April 13

Friday the Thirteenth

in the shadows
poised to pounce

bad luck strikes

wedding ring plops
down the drain

witt, I didn't realize until late in the afternoon that it was the 13th.

Thanks G, very nicely played!

a king's ransom...
elm tree leaves bathed golden
last rays end the day

April 14th

spring yet again?
forty long years spent –
awaiting birth

April 14

no fights
with choke holds or knockouts
only skin eruptions and acne cures
no whizzing colors careening
cartwheeling in circles
just rehashed bouncing balls
no monsters hidden behind
pleasant faces
or alternate dreamworlds
asleep or awake

blank spaces
no information available

is it doomsday
or simply karma

April 15th

the amaryllis
weep for their beauty now lost,
hang their heads in shame.
a pity, such short blooming –
lucky me, i took photos.

I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

April 15th

watching the night sky
stills my mind
confustion ebbs
clarity - like the stars - illuminates
an infusion of calm offers me insight

humbling.

April 15

inspired by illiterati

tiny
and feminine
ruffles and lace
dresses only ― never pants
a smile that could make
a linebacker weak and weepy eyed
no detergent cleaned her white cotton panties
sweat rivulets left mud blobs on her face
her blond wispy hair coiffed like racemes of ragweed
