Journal entry 6.27.10
« on: June 27, 2010, 04:25 PM »

Sun bubbling as verse
with meadow larks and flutterbys,
a lake shivering
at the touch of wind,
I sit here and dream
of faraway things.

Long walks with a hand to hold,
arms to fall into at the end of day,
kisses to wake up to, a soul
unsplintered between mind and heart.

Also,
I dream of falling
madly and wholly, inexcusably and incorrigibly
in caution-thrown-to-the-winds love,
and being loved back
the same way, unabashedly,
completely,
and
truly.

I dream of material things
like heartsease
and basil in my garden,
a silver car in the driveway
and a colorful home,
too small to contain us,
bursting at the seams
with all we are to each other.
Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Berenice,

Glad you enjoyed this. I love weekends when I get time to go sit by the lake.
