The only Zen discovered on mountaintops is that which you carry within. ~ Robert Pirsig

wise men foolishly scale mountaintops to gain eternity;
yet the emptiness within had filled upon awakening -
seeking reality; one grasps only the shadow of  truth.
I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

Keep it up. You guys are doing great.

I find following the form a bit more difficult than haiku, trying to remember where the caesura should fall, to set up the situation, the turn, and the resolution while keeping in mind the twist.

I need a lot more practice.

Witt, I find, that if I read more poetry - especially of the type I am attempting to create, or am unfamiliar with, it becomes easier to compose. For me. Perhaps you could try the same technique?

Obstinate rituals of foreplay and the act of lovemaking,
you insist on the kiss, the silence, the tortures of denial,
but did you know i would feel better if the silk ropes were cut?

Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Yang leaks out from Yin in ribbons of blissful adoration.
sutras my tongue recites; reading scripture, on the insides of thighs.
silk sheets retain your wetness; hushed signs too sacred for words.
I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

darkness pulls its  heavy sunset-painted shade far too soon now.
wiser birds have long since flown their southern route to warmer climes.
silhouette of loss settles deep beyond mid-winter eyes.

I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

vivid maple leaves' spiral; the dying whispers of autumn.
sun sinks beyond distant mountains; casting cobalt shadows -
earthly beauty fades, as your season changes to grey.
I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

i will seduce you in the falling snow, sun dangling on my chest,
whispering in the tongue of lovers. liquor in our veins,
we will discover why silk whispers when it is between my legs.

somehow, i dont think this form was meant to seduce,  but its fun anyways.  ;D
