A Note to My Family
« on: September 08, 2008, 08:10 PM »
I pray the Goddess and the Great One find my Family well and strong.

Long have I been in the Mists.

My doctors tell me I am a tough old piece of leather.

I am not able to do much on my own, but wished ti let you know I had not yet gone to Avalon.

I may not be about much, and will have my nephew keep you informed.

Please be sure that I think of you often, and remember you well.

As always,

Liam

Stay tough Merlin ... although your presence is always here - it's much better to have you here.  Praying that the mist is kind to you - and that you feel better soon.

Merlin My Brother ..the legend must be true, whereas,  the wizard re-appears when a peasant calls to the mist.

Just a day or so ago, I was talking to our lovely Ms Shoes about your whereabouts. Alas, you come. I'll keep the campfire stoked.

Liam, dear heart,

You have spells in your beard still!

May the Goddess give you strength.

Bright Blessings!

Walk not alone
on the road toward the light.
Battle not alone;
share our might.

Thy trusty Knave
and a hundred Knights
thy path will pave
with a thousand lights.

Thy three queens, together,
will sail through the mist
and emerge through the ether
To thy eternal tryst.

In the glen there always seems to be a mist. Remember it? It is where we hunted, fished and rested when we were tired. It is also where we went on our own from time to time, to become stronger or grow a clearer mind. It is where we restored ourselves in the company of friends, in the company of ourself, or in the company of whatever we believe is beyond.  The air looks heavy, but when it is inhaled it brings into us all the good, all the healing, all the comfort we came seeking in the first place. Often, when I cannot go there in body I close my eyes and go there in spirit. I leave my problems and come back with empty shoulders, strong legs, eager heart and believing that what lies ahead is better than what I have already seen.

Merlin,

"Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul.
It sings the tune without words
And never stops at all."

~~~Emily Dickinson
We all have our burdens to bear. None of us can put this thing called hope into words, but we all have a kinship in it. I gather all the positive thoughts and strenghts that comes with this nondescript yet powerfull phenomenon, wrapped in prayer, and send the hope of a better day to you. Never give up.
Stop looking at the light. Instead, look at what is being illuminated by the light.
