Poetic Justice
« on: September 01, 2008, 06:08 AM »
I’ve made vain attempts.
all other rhyme eludes me
save Japanese form.

for days, weeks, months now;
simply five, seven, five lines
that's all, nothing more.

Kay is culpable,
she began this with her trees.
what consequences…

perhaps a virus?
something less drastic than that.
total destruction

just seems wrong to me.
I’ll contemplate her demise
while writing haiku.

karmic Law dictates
I entertain forgiveness'
viable option.

I must at least offer
freedom for my tainted soul.
will you then concede?

poetic justice
begs acceptance in like form
haiku if you please.

I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

I assume that you
and Kay are having battles
of quick haiku wits

this meager offer?
no combative gesture here
only suggestion

merely an attempt
at extraction of haiku
a simple request

No ill intent on my part...I actually wrote this more than a year ago...but I've been refining it.
Then, when I came back to Splash and found her incommunicado...
Well, I waited and debated...and finally here it is.  :blusmoke

Mystic,

Oh my! Did I branch out too far! This is cute. I'm glad you like this form as much
as I do. The possibilities are unlimited.

insanity bleeds
inert puddles of haiku
stain oaken floorboards

Mystic,

why must you compell me to Flubber off you?

unrippled puddles
reflect lucid dementia
haiku stained floorboards

(say dementia with a grace note in the last syllable)

Trout,

It could be the fact that our cells are rubber-lined or,

liquid refraction’s
obsessive compulsive ilk
echoes your nature

Freud's couch down the hall
a gentle place for ones thoughts
he smokes his cigar

He smokes his cigar,
Blows wavery thought-filled rings,
Smiles at their secrets.
