We seem to have lost the "river."

rainbow of colors
shimmers on the lake
polluted by boats

I listen for each lonely breath.

The river must have been hiding under the snow!! :tongue

polluted by boats
the river knows sweet revenge:
freezes overnight

And all you can do is to go where they can find you.

Freezes overnight
Icy rivers dark and cold
But spring is looming
I felt it shelter to speak to you  ~Emily Dickinson

Where it never rains
rivers still flow, though somewhat
slow, being frozen.

Lost on the tundra,
Jökulsá á Fjöllum floods,
I wade my way back.
