a Haiku to start with:

the color of chalk
anemic words in the dust
her story of loss.

Shame lives in the hearts of some
The inner conscience instilled in all
Flagrant wickedness lives in others
Evil dances in knowing eyes
Smiling while swirling down the vortex
Dragging down all who succumb to her charms.

A new photo, some new poetry perhaps?  :sweetkiss

beneath
winter’s blue-grey shadows...
warmth of plum blossom
I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

Spring is in the air down under
Here it's summer rains and thunder
Worlds apart we live asunder
Will we ever meet I wonder

First let me add one for Daisy's picture

Oh, I can go all night you said
we sang and danced along the alley way
   until we got home
we kissed and swayed a naughty sway
   you kissed a love trail
from my lips to down between
   and passed out

For the previous picture that I posted a while back ....

Forgiven

Struggles inside her
gave her reasons to live
demons to destroy
there was honor to give.

Visions of youth
overshadowed her mind
to a place she had journied
once thoughtful and kind.

She arrived as a girl
with beauty and grace
soon a warrier wounded
hurt shown on her face.

Though youth had left her
and memories did fade
her mind became soft
gray replaced jade.

Without a tear in her eye
she was ready for death
her heart had forgiven
she took her last breath.

For Halo's picture ....

Blossoms

blossoms of winter
light and fair
a rhythmic motion
floats in the air

symbolic of peace
for all to behold
colors vibrant
subtle, yet bold

scribed for a season
they're here, then gone
drifting and falling
as chords in a song

whispers in silence
these clusters of pink
the silky smooth petals
of a poets ink

Lets try a new picture ... everybody, please feel free to join in!

Flight

Hazey yesterdays
nested within cunning lines,
taking a stand before the poet
to love every verse.
A rose feeds the garden
beyond the death of
unearthed clusters; and
statues posed by a bard
plant tomorrow's whitest flowers,
Writing wild like the evening
morning's muse chases
hummingbirds
through a flight of
poetic freedom.

Alone at dusk I sit in the mist
Breathing in the cool breezes of evening.
I contemplate the end of it all.
Where do I fit in the puzzle of creation?
I begin to see there's a place for each tree
And a flower designed for every hummingbird.

I love going back and rereading - the interpretations are all amazing.  Halo and Witt, thank you for the comments to my poems.  Sorry I didn't see them sooner.  I love all of the poems you've posted.  Again, let's bring this thread back to life.  I'll search for a new picture - or someone else please jump in and post one.
