finally
the Snow Moon* arrives...
without snow

* The first full moon of February is known as the Snow Moon by Native Americans

I've been enjoying the snow moon since 4:30 a.m. It's lovely. Thanks for your haiku and giving the moon a name for me to appreciate it more.

I listen for each lonely breath.

autumn sunlight fades
forgetting our address - you
flip the porch light on

floating blameless
breathing in, breathing out
I awaken

tropical fish purse-lipped gaze
the tank gurgles

I like the double entendre here. It makes me smile.

the scent of coming rain
on the still air

an inspiring collection of Haiku on this page, Dutch and MysticG   :sunny

Dutch, your Haiku slipped to the last page when I posted this comment.  I really like it, so I'm displaying it again.

I've been experimenting with single line haiku again:

in the koi pond the old fisherman catches his reflection

at twilight the fawn’s bleat smelled of wild garlic

I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.
