The reading of the poem mixed with sound effects creates a very nice atmosphere and I like your images.  Technically, they all work very well.   It isn't easy to capture an authentic evening but you were able to do that.

All of a sudden, I can't wait for Halloween.

Well done.

Hello again, Cherri!

This form of poetry is so much fun and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Spoken word conveys so much more feeling than just reading poetry.
Have you ever thought about speaking yours?

Gosh, you are such a beauty.     :artist

By the way, I have never read my own.  How difficult is it to do these kinds of readings?  I have a piece of junk computer with no niceties to go with it.  Now, sometime ago, I was told that I had the voice of a telephone actress if you catch my drift, hahaha.  It might take some practice with that in mind to read anything but erotica, lol.

I listened to you here again... you are just a natural!

Hiya, Cherri!

Making spoken word is really pretty easy.

You'll need a sound editing program... here a link for a free download for "wavepad". It's what I use - Click the button that says "download wavepad" (that's the free one)

http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/

You'll need a microphone. I got mine at Walmart for $5.00

Here's a link for hundreds of different sounds... free, of course!

http://www.findsounds.com/index.html

With 'wavepad', you can record your voice and mix it with background music and sounds. I taught myself. Lot's of fun... you can even make yourself sound like a munchkin! hehehehe!

The biggest hurdle to get over is the dreaded stage freight. And that's pretty easy too. Besides, no one is watching you when you post your poetry, right?

Have you paid a visit to Voodoo Child's Temple of Sound yet? That's where I post my spoken word and encourage others to post their spoken poems too. Here's a link so you don't have to go looking for it...

http://www.splashhall.org/poetry_forums/index.php/board,96.0.html

If you decide you want to give this a try and if you need help, pm me. I would be very happy to help!

Good luck and have fun! :dblu

Hey Cookie,

thanks a bunch. I am going to have to come back to this once I get my new computer and then a microphone.
This putor is on its last legs and I use it for work so until I upgrade, I'm afraid to put more programs on it.
Soon though, or at least a xmas present to me.

You are a gem ,and I am very interested and appreciate your efforts.  I'll be in touch!

Cherri :)

P.S.  This should be funny... stage fright. I think I'll be ok.  With age, you don't care as much ..or at least for me.  I do remember running off stage once in a talent show where I sang Hey Jude and left te guittar player sitting there by himself!  I sucked!  lol
